Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer – Oil & Gas EPC

About the role

Our client, a leading Oil & Gas EPC contractor, is looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer to drive the design, engineering and execution of mechanical and piping systems across multiple projects. You will provide technical leadership from concept through construction and commissioning, ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and approval of mechanical and piping deliverables, including drawings, datasheets, calculations and specifications.
• Coordinate engineering activities across FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Review contractor and vendor designs for compliance with codes, standards and project requirements.
• Provide technical support to resolve engineering and construction challenges.
• Participate in HAZOP studies, design reviews, risk assessments and vendor evaluations.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement within the team.

Required profile

• B.Eng./B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical and piping engineering experience in Oil & Gas EPC.
• At least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering codes and EPC project execution.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering design software.
