About the role

The Lead, Finance/Account will oversee financial operations and accounting functions across a network of hospitals and healthcare centres in Imo State. This senior position ensures accurate reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance while supporting strategic financial decisions that drive operational efficiency and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for all healthcare facilities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and organisational policies, providing guidance to finance teams and facility managers.
• Lead preparation and analysis of financial data to inform strategic decision‑making and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage procurement processes, guaranteeing cost‑effective purchasing and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain integrity of financial operations.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the healthcare or public sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and procurement processes in a healthcare or public‑sector environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with excellent analytical, organisational, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve financial and operational goals.
