Key Account Manager

About the role

PZ Cussons is seeking a motivated Key Account Manager to lead sales growth with its most important retail partners. You will be responsible for developing business plans, executing in‑store promotions, and ensuring product availability across key categories.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the annual business sales plan for key accounts and conduct weekly/monthly reviews with customers and internal management.
• Prepare and drive in‑store promotions, branding activities, and ensure the brand stays ahead of competition.
• Reconcile outstanding payments, credit notes, rebates and returns on a monthly basis with customers and finance teams.
• Support the execution of approved brand marketing and communication plans within guidelines.
• Ensure new product listings are completed within two weeks of launch and maintain stock availability.
• Communicate specifications, pricing, positioning and promotions within one week of new product announcements.
• Assist with product life‑cycle management, demand forecasting and minimising residual inventory.
• Execute trade marketing plans effectively and contribute to margin‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a retail environment, with strong knowledge of inventory management and credit control.
• Self‑driven, high energy, motivated and resilient.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated business development capability with extensive customer interaction.
• Professional qualification in Marketing is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
