Junior Internal Audit and Compliance Officer

About the role

CredPal, a financial technology company offering credit card and investment solutions, is hiring a Junior Internal Audit and Compliance Officer in its Finance department. The role supports the Internal Audit and Compliance function so that the company complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards. It involves assisting with audit activities, reviewing processes and controls, identifying risks and helping implement corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in internal audits of operational processes, financial activities and compliance procedures.
• Support the review and documentation of internal controls, identifying gaps or weaknesses.
• Take part in audit plans, schedules and testing procedures, gathering, verifying and analysing audit data.
• Help prepare audit reports with observations and recommendations, and follow up on findings and corrective actions.
• Stay informed on regulatory requirements and company policies, and help update compliance policies and records.
• Support external audits, regulatory reviews and inspections, including document preparation.
• Participate in audit projects, process improvement and risk assessments, and promote a culture of compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager are a plus.
• Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in internal auditing, compliance or related fields.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, and willingness to resume immediately.

Required skills

• Auditing, risk assessment and control evaluation.
• Proficiency in audit software, data analysis tools and Microsoft Office.
