Junior Accountant – Real Estate & Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role supports the Group’s subsidiaries across real estate, construction, fintech and related sectors, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records for all subsidiaries and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including inter‑company reconciliations and eliminations.
• Ensure compliance with industry‑specific regulations such as real‑estate construction accounting, REIT fund management, micro‑finance prudential guidelines, fintech payment reconciliation and hospitality revenue accounting.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitor actual performance and provide variance analysis.
• Compute, file and remit applicable taxes (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE) in line with FIRS and state requirements.
• Oversee vendor payments, contractor milestone payments and customer/tenant/investor receipts.
• Reconcile multiple bank accounts daily and monitor cash flow.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of accounting experience in at least two of the following: real‑estate development, construction, REIT investment, fintech, micro‑finance banking or hospitality.
• Strong technical accounting skills and a relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• Ability to handle multi‑entity financial reporting, regulatory compliance and performance analysis.
• Reports to the Director, Finance/Accounts.
