Inventory Officer

About the role

The Inventory Officer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory records across all stock locations for FMR Agency, a retail and FMCG company in Lagos. Working closely with procurement, warehouse and operations teams, the officer ensures inventory accuracy and timely replenishment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all stock locations.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory.
• Conduct routine stock counts and periodic inventory audits.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor stock levels and recommend timely replenishment.
• Generate inventory reports using RetailMan software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions and stock movements.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and company policies.
• Perform other inventory‑related duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Inventory Officer.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Willingness to reside in the company's shared staff accommodation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in RetailMan software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
