Internal Control Officer

About the role

As an Internal Control Officer at Dangote Industries Limited, you will assess and strengthen the design and implementation of internal controls across the organisation, helping to minimise risks and ensure reliable financial and operational information.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, including segregation of duties, access controls and authorization processes.
• Perform review and testing procedures to verify the accuracy and reliability of financial and operational data.
• Document findings, observations and recommendations in audit reports and communicate results to management and relevant departments.
• Collaborate with departmental managers and process owners to address control deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor remediation efforts and track action plans to resolve audit findings and control weaknesses.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on internal control principles, policies and procedures.
• Investigate suspected fraud, misconduct or irregularities and recommend preventive measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Banking & Finance (ACA qualification is an advantage).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in internal control, audit or related finance functions.
