Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Internal Auditor to join our team in Abeokuta. You will lead risk‑based audit activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the organization’s governance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual risk‑based internal audit plan covering operational, financial, compliance and process audits.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor adherence to company policies, SOPs, statutory regulations and industry standards.
• Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities or policy violations as needed.
• Review procurement, inventory, cash management, payroll and other operational transactions for accuracy.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the Executive Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA or CIA.
• Minimum five years of experience in internal audit, risk management or finance.
• Experience in manufacturing, LPG, energy or industrial operations is an advantage.
