Indirect Spend Category Manager – Foreign Procurement

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to lead indirect spend procurement, focusing on foreign purchases such as shipping, clearing and forwarding. You will work closely with both local and overseas suppliers to secure products directly from manufacturers, negotiate terms and drive cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day purchasing transactions, including requisitions, purchase orders and supplier follow‑ups.
• Request, review and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules while maintaining accurate procurement records.
• Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, enforce compliance and manage black‑listing where necessary.
• Source items to meet a 4‑day SLA, update catalogue pricing monthly and stay abreast of market trends.
• Participate in industry events to secure direct‑from‑OEM pricing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Source‑to‑Pay KPI compliance and achieve organisational OKRs.
