Independent Legal & Regulatory Consultant – Nigeria

About the role

Rosie's People Limited is seeking an experienced Nigerian legal practitioner to join its professional network as an independent Legal & Regulatory Consultant. The consultant will provide matter‑by‑matter advice on financial‑services regulation, primarily dealing with the Central Bank of Nigeria and other regulators, supporting both Rosie's People and its corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal and regulatory advice on Nigerian financial‑services matters.
• Represent clients before the Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial regulators.
• Prepare, review and submit regulatory filings, responses, objections or representations.
• Assist international or foreign corporate clients with compliance and regulatory strategy.
• Collaborate with Rosie's People on client engagements and provide expertise on a case‑by‑case basis.

Required profile

• Called to the Nigerian Bar and currently entitled to practise in Nigeria.
• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification legal experience.
• Demonstrable experience handling matters with the Central Bank of Nigeria or other financial‑services regulators.
• Based in Lagos or Abuja and willing to travel between the two locations.
• Experience supporting international corporate clients; additional foreign legal qualifications are a plus.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Nigerian financial‑services regulation and CBN requirements.
• Expertise in drafting and managing regulatory submissions.
• Strong advisory skills for corporate and financial‑services clients.
