HVAC Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HVAC Service Engineer to join our team in Lagos. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and commissioning a variety of commercial and residential HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, filter changes, and system tune‑ups.
• Install, test, and balance new HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls to minimize downtime.
• Advise clients on technical issues and recommend energy‑efficient upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Record detailed digital logs of service work, parts used, labor hours, and equipment condition.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• In‑depth knowledge of split systems, VRF/VRV units, chillers, heat pumps, and air handling units.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multi‑meters, pressure gauges, vacuum pumps, and leak detectors.
