Human Resources Specialist

About the role

Openhill Global is looking for a proactive Human Resources Specialist to support its people operations across Nigeria. The role focuses on end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, employee record management, and compliance with local labor laws.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to interview coordination.
• Facilitate new‑employee onboarding, orientation, and document collection.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Assist in implementing HR policies, handling employee relations, and providing guidance on workplace issues.
• Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with Nigerian labor regulations.
• Coordinate training, development initiatives, and performance‑management processes.
• Track onboarding documentation and verify staff approvals.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of proven HR experience, preferably in recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws (experience with Ghana laws is a plus).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Experience with HR software or HRIS systems.
• Proficiency in using web‑based tools, dashboards, and support systems.
