Human Resources Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Smart Wash Ltd is seeking a proactive and highly organised HR & Operations Coordinator to support its growing airport operations in Lagos. The role starts remote and will transition to a hybrid model based at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, leave, and HR documentation; support employee relations, disciplinary matters and performance management.
• Coordinate daily staffing, technician availability, rotas and manpower planning; monitor attendance, punctuality and operational checklists.
• Monitor employee KPIs, productivity and performance trends; conduct performance discussions and support coaching and corrective actions.
• Support full recruitment cycle, onboarding, training needs identification and internal development activities.
• Manage airport & airside compliance, including airside pass applications, renewals, documentation tracking and training coordination.
• Prepare management reports on staffing, productivity, compliance and outstanding issues; follow up on agreed actions.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of experience in HR, people operations, workforce coordination or similar roles.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities without constant supervision.
• Strong communicator, comfortable handling performance discussions and holding people accountable.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on documentation, compliance and problem‑solving.
• Based in Lagos with reliable commuting access to Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets.
