HR Manager – Leadership & Talent Development

About the role

Sagad Farms is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the people function, strengthen leadership capacity, and build a strong foundation for organizational growth. This strategic, hands‑on role balances day‑to‑day HR operations with long‑term workforce planning.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior management to align HR strategy with business goals.
• Provide guidance and support to team leads and department heads on people‑related matters.
• Develop and implement succession plans for key roles and identify high‑potential employees.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle from job posting through interviews to offers.
• Design and oversee a structured onboarding process to ensure rapid integration of new hires.
• Identify skill gaps and create training, mentorship, and continuous learning programs.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years HR experience, preferably in an industrial or agricultural setting.
• Proven experience in succession planning and leadership development.
• Strong background in recruiting and onboarding processes.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver capacity‑building programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be based on‑site at Sagad Farms in Kano, Nigeria.
