HR & Administration Officer – Yola

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking an enthusiastic HR & Administration Officer to support its field office in Yola, Adamawa State. The role involves daily implementation of human‑resources activities and administrative support for the team working with displaced communities.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment processes: post vacancies, collect CVs, screen candidates, organise written tests and interviews.
• Assist onboarding of new staff, track induction programmes across NRC departments and ensure completion of required documentation.
• Draft employment contracts and compile personnel files in line with NRC check‑lists.
• Ensure job descriptions are signed and filed for each employee.
• Support payroll preparation by entering staff data for step progression.
• Track staff movements such as annual and special leave.
• Maintain and update staff files and related administrative records.
