Hospital Quality Assurance Officer – Governance & Compliance

About the role

Our client, a leading healthcare organization in Lagos, is seeking a proactive Hospital Quality Assurance Officer to drive governance, compliance and continuous improvement of the hospital’s Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve the hospital QMS, supporting the Annual Quality Improvement Plan and monitoring departmental KPIs.
• Manage incident reporting, risk management database, and ensure timely CAPA and root‑cause analysis implementation.
• Maintain document control, version‑controlled policies, SOPs and coordinate periodic reviews.
• Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001:2015, SafeCare and other accreditation assessments, and monitor corrective actions.
• Conduct infection prevention and control audits, hand‑hygiene observations and compile surveillance reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and safeguard patient information.
• Analyse patient satisfaction data, handle complaints and generate reports to improve service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Public Health or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare quality assurance, clinical governance or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015, SafeCare or similar accreditation standards is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications in Quality Management, ISO Lead Auditing or Clinical Governance are a plus.
