Home Tutor for Primary 2 & 3 in Chevron, Ajah, Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to provide one‑on‑one instruction for two primary school children (Primary 2 and Primary 3) at a client’s residence in Chevron, Ajah, Lagos. The role focuses on improving basic mathematics, English language, phonics and handwriting using the Nigerian Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2 hours of tutoring each day, four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at 4:00 PM.
• Prepare lesson plans that cover basic mathematics, English language, phonics and handwriting improvement.
• Assess each child’s progress and adjust teaching methods to meet the goal of improvement.
• Motivate students and create a supportive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with the client regarding the children’s performance.

Required profile

• Experience teaching primary‑level students, preferably with the Nigerian Curriculum.
• Ability to work independently at the client’s location.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage young learners.
• Flexible schedule to meet the specified teaching days and times.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic mathematics concepts for primary students.
• Proficiency in teaching English language, phonics and handwriting.
