English Teacher

About the role

The English Teacher will deliver high‑quality English language and literacy instruction to pre‑school and primary learners at MEMOMAC School in Ikorodu. This full‑time, on‑site role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing progress and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver age‑appropriate lessons covering reading, writing, speaking and listening.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the school’s research‑based curriculum.
• Assess learner progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and manage student behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support the overall educational program.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events and ongoing professional development activities.

Required profile

• Strong English teaching skills with experience teaching pre‑school and primary‑level students.
• Effective lesson‑planning abilities and the capacity to create structured, age‑appropriate learning activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for interaction with learners, families and staff.
• Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Education, English or a related field.
• Demonstrated classroom‑management abilities, patience, adaptability and a commitment to inclusive, learner‑centered teaching.
