Head - Warehouse & Logistics Management

About the role

The Head of Warehouse & Logistics Management will lead and optimise end‑to‑end warehousing, logistics, customs clearance, inventory and asset management operations. The role ensures timely availability of CAPEX and OPEX materials to support network deployment, commercial activities and overall business growth across Airtel Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory, optimise asset utilisation and minimise ageing, obsolete and excess stock across all locations.
• Drive operational excellence by standardising warehousing processes, managing material movements, repairs, returns and recovery, and monitoring KPIs and service levels.
• Lead nationwide logistics and distribution, ensuring timely delivery of devices, SIMs and other materials to support business and network requirements.
• Oversee demand planning, replenishment, inventory deployment and transportation performance to support growth.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance, robust internal controls and effective customs clearance, minimising delays, costs and compliance risks.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing large‑scale warehousing and logistics operations.
• Strong track record of improving inventory efficiency and working‑capital performance.
• Experience with customs clearance and regulatory compliance in a multi‑country environment.
• Ability to lead continuous‑improvement and automation initiatives.
