Head of Finance and Administration

About the role

The Head of Finance and Administration will lead all financial functions for a fast‑growing construction firm in Abuja. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure robust financial control, strategic insight and compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks while ensuring full regulatory, tax and statutory compliance.
• Lead internal audit processes, coordinate external audits and maintain comprehensive audit trails.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decisions, investment evaluation and project ROI assessments.
• Develop cash‑flow forecasting models, manage treasury activities and optimise working capital.
• Build relationships with banks, investors and financial institutions to support funding and capital‑raising initiatives.
• Create financial contingency plans and support crisis management through scenario planning and modelling.

Required profile

• Senior‑level finance professional with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in financial management within construction, real‑estate or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, audit standards and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
