Head of Finance & Accounting

About the role

BFG Global Consulting Limited is looking for a strategic Head of Finance & Accounting to lead its financial operations and support growth objectives. The role combines traditional accounting oversight with innovative financial initiatives such as grant acquisition and capital‑raising for projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support planning, forecasting and investment decisions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, financial reporting and audit support.
• Drive capital‑raising efforts through grants, donor funding, impact investment and strategic partnerships.
• Identify and prepare proposals for competitive grant opportunities and innovation funding schemes.
• Provide financial guidance to project teams, innovation units and business development functions.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing finance and accounting team.

Required profile

• Proactive leader with strong analytical capability and deep financial acumen.
• Proven experience in both traditional accounting environments and modern financial innovation contexts.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
