Head of Engineering – Lead Technical Strategy & Operations

About the role

Escrow Tech is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead engineering operations across its nationwide facilities in Nigeria. The role combines strategic planning, commissioning oversight, and technical leadership to ensure high‑availability and safety of complex industrial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the on‑site engineering team, establishing standards, procedures and maintenance protocols.
• Direct all commissioning activities, accepting infrastructure systems against documented criteria.
• Maintain facility uptime, schedule maintenance, oversee equipment lifecycle and resolve faults.
• Serve as primary interface with technology partners for integration and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and keep engineering documentation, records and asset registers up to date.
• Provide technical leadership, escalate operational risks and drive engineering strategy and service excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• COREN registration or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience managing large‑scale technical or industrial facilities such as data centres or process industries.
