Head of City Utilities

About the role

The Head of City Utilities will define and execute the business model for city‑scale utilities (water, power, gas, telecom and ICT) at Alaro City, working closely with construction, delivery and Rendeavour group teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee financial, budgeting and policy strategies for all utility services.
• Lead engineering activities, coordinate with procurement, construction and commissioning, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage operations, maintenance, personnel and contract implementation for utilities.
• Prepare regular reports on utility status and enforce best‑practice procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in engineering or utility infrastructure, including electricity generation and water treatment.
• Proven experience in construction, operation and maintenance of utilities, gas and sewage systems.
• Strong business analysis, budgeting and reporting capabilities.
• Leadership experience in an engineering or construction firm is a major plus.
