About the role
Lead revenue growth and market activity by originating issuers, securities and strategic distribution relationships for NASD, focusing on building the Commercial Paper market, increasing issuer participation and developing sustainable secondary‑market liquidity.
Key responsibilities
- Build and manage a measurable pipeline of prospective issuers across Commercial Paper, equity/private‑market securities and other NASD products.
- Originate companies suitable for Commercial Paper programmes and persuade them to establish and quote programmes through NASD.
- Develop senior relationships with CEOs, CFOs, treasurers and corporate‑finance teams of prospective issuers.
- Lead the commercial development of NASD's secondary market for Commercial Paper, working with brokers, dealers, investors and market makers.
- Recruit and manage relationships with market makers and other liquidity providers.
- Identify companies suitable for admission to NASD and create compelling commercial propositions.
- Develop distribution partnerships, including fintech and brokerage integrations, to broaden investor access.
- Own prospective transactions from first contact through onboarding, execution and post‑transaction relationship management.
- Maintain a live pipeline showing opportunity, estimated transaction value, expected NASD revenue, probability of conversion, next action and expected closing date.
- Work across Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology to resolve obstacles preventing transactions from closing.
- Deliver agreed annual revenue, transaction‑origination and market‑activity targets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field; Master’s or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10‑15+ years of capital‑markets experience, ideally across investment banking, securities dealing/brokerage, issuing house, corporate finance, asset management, an exchange or market infrastructure.
- Strong existing relationships across Nigerian corporates, brokers, issuing houses, institutional investors and other capital‑market participants.
- Demonstrable track record of originating and closing transactions with clear evidence of transaction values and commercial outcomes.
- Deep understanding of Commercial Paper, fixed income, equity/private markets and capital‑raising processes.
- Ability to translate relationships into mandates, transactions, liquidity and measurable revenue.
