Group Treasurer

About the role

Flutterwave is seeking a Group Treasurer to lead the design and operation of its global treasury infrastructure. The role sits at the core of the company’s FX and remittance engine, turning high‑volume foreign‑exchange activity into sustainable, high‑margin revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and optimise a Treasury Management System (e.g., Kyriba), integrating bank feeds for real‑time visibility across all corridors and entities.
• Build and maintain automated FX blotters and a daily FX sub‑ledger that provides a three‑way reconciled view (blotter, bank, ERP) by 10:00 AM WAT each business day.
• Create a real‑time “Cash in Transit” dashboard to support liquidity planning and operational decision‑making.
• Transition the treasury function from manual spreadsheets to a fully automated, audit‑ready architecture.
• Design and operate a global net‑ting engine for internal FX flows, targeting internalisation rates above 80 % for the top currency pairs.
• Identify and eliminate hidden margin leaks, including third‑party partner fees and cross‑corridor subsidies.
• Integrate emerging stable‑coin rails (RLUSD, USDC, USDT) and tokenised deposit frameworks with institutional fiat accounts to achieve just‑in‑time global liquidity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in treasury operations, especially in FX, liquidity management and treasury system implementation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design data‑driven architectures and dashboards.
• Track record of improving margin and reducing operational risk in a high‑growth fintech environment.
