Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function of Bridgemead Advisory, shaping financial strategy to support the company’s upstream oil and gas projects and long‑term growth. Reporting to the Managing Director and Board, the CFO will provide insight on investment, capital needs and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with E&P objectives, including budgeting, forecasting and capital planning.
• Lead capital raising activities, engaging banks, investors and development finance institutions for debt, equity and project‑finance structures.
• Build and strengthen the finance organisation, establishing policies, systems, controls and reporting processes.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, audit and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to IFRS and Nigerian regulations.
• Provide financial analysis for strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or CPA.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in upstream E&P or a capital‑intensive energy sector.
• Proven track record of building or transforming finance functions in growing organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian oil‑and‑gas regulations, taxation and corporate governance.
