Group Chief Information Officer

About the role

The Group Chief Information Officer (GCIO) will act as the senior technology strategist for a leading indigenous engineering and project support firm in the oil & gas sector. Reporting to the Group CEO, the GCIO drives digital transformation, cybersecurity, data management and enterprise systems across all business units and operating companies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a Group‑wide technology strategy aligned with business growth and operational priorities.
• Advise the Board and executive team on technology investments, emerging trends, and cybersecurity risks.
• Establish the IT operating model, governance framework, policies and performance metrics.
• Lead enterprise‑wide digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, project delivery and customer experience.
• Champion adoption of cloud computing, automation, AI, analytics, IoT, mobile solutions and digital platforms.
• Prioritise and govern digital investments to ensure risk‑adjusted business value.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience (minimum 18 years) in technology leadership within large, complex organisations.
• Proven track record of steering digital transformation and managing cybersecurity programmes.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
