Chief Technology Officer – Technology & Digital Channels

About the role

The Chief Technology Officer (Technology & Digital Channels) will lead Invealth's banking subsidiary in Lagos, driving the technology and digital transformation agenda. This full‑time, on‑site position requires frequent travel to Port Harcourt and focuses on delivering a secure, scalable, and customer‑centric digital banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the bank’s technology strategy, aligning it with overall business goals and emerging digital trends.
• Own the core banking platform and all digital channels (mobile, web, USSD), ensuring high availability, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead integrations with payment providers, identity verification services, fintech partners and manage vendor contracts and SLAs.
• Establish a robust cybersecurity framework, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with CBN and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, overseeing testing and remediation.
• Build and maintain data architecture, analytics capabilities, and reporting infrastructure for decision‑making.
• Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, service desk, incident management, and infrastructure performance.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing technology, product, and data team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of technology experience, with at least 7 years in banking, fintech or regulated financial services.
• At least 2 years in a senior technology leadership role, preferably as CTO or Head of Technology.
• Proven track record delivering secure, scalable digital solutions and managing core banking platforms.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
