Grants Coordinator (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

The Grants Coordinator will support Safe Haven Positivity Initiative’s mission by managing the full grant lifecycle. This part‑time, hybrid position is based in Marina, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and combines on‑site collaboration with remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify suitable funding opportunities.
• Coordinate the development of grant proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Maintain accurate grant records, track deadlines, and compile impact narratives with program staff.
• Assist in budget preparation for proposals and monitor grant compliance.
• Prepare progress and financial reports for funders.

Required profile

• Strong grant administration and program management experience, preferably in NGOs or mental‑health projects.
• Advanced proposal writing and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams, funders, and community partners.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and keep organized documentation.
• Diploma or degree in social sciences, public administration, psychology, development studies or related fields (preferred but not mandatory).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using online grant‑management portals.
• Basic budgeting and financial tracking capabilities.
