Graduate Intern – Mining Operations

About the role

This Graduate Intern position offers a hands‑on introduction to pit production and mining operations. Working under the guidance of the Pit Supervisor, you will gain practical experience in daily quarry activities while supporting health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring daily pit production activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and stockpile management.
• Observe equipment performance, report operational issues and help maintain production records.
• Collect production data and prepare daily operational reports for the supervisory team.
• Participate in routine pit inspections, safety audits and compliance checks.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and other duties assigned by the Pit Supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
• Completed NYSC service.
• Strong interest in mining or quarry operations and willingness to work outdoors on rotational shifts.
• Good communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
