General Manager – FMCG Distribution

About the role

Koce Enterprises Limited is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead its fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution business in Nigeria. The role will provide strategic direction, oversee commercial operations and drive growth for Nestlé and other multinational brands.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Board to define strategic plans and go‑to‑market objectives.
• Make commercial decisions together with the CFO and Operations Manager to achieve agreed targets.
• Plan, develop and execute sales and distribution operations, policies and programmes.
• Build and manage sales channels, evaluate performance and set medium‑ and long‑term commercial goals.
• Lead the field sales force, set direct and indirect sales targets and monitor competition.
• Oversee budgeting, cost optimisation and performance of the retail and distribution functions.
• Engage with FMCG executives, dealers and major customers to implement product positioning strategies.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis, recommending actions to meet customer needs.
• Manage product stock planning, forecasting and analysis for distribution warehouses.
• Develop and enforce systems, policies and procedures for smooth warehouse and outlet operations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in FMCG distribution or logistics.
• Strong track record of developing and executing commercial strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior FMCG executives and key customers.
• Ability to analyse market data, forecast demand and drive profitable growth.
• Experience managing large sales teams and multi‑site distribution networks.
