Gas Station Manager

About the role

The Gas Station Manager is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Lekki, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fuel station. The role ensures smooth service delivery, safety compliance, and profitability through effective staff supervision and inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule station staff, providing coaching and handling performance issues.
• Maintain excellent customer service, manage queues and resolve customer concerns.
• Monitor fuel and non‑fuel inventory, coordinate deliveries and oversee basic maintenance.
• Handle cash, reconcile daily sales, prepare reports and manage point‑of‑sale transactions.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance, especially in fuel handling and environmental standards.
• Work with senior leadership to meet sales, cost‑control and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail, fuel station or similar operations management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Solid customer‑service and communication skills.
• Good numerical aptitude and cash‑handling experience.
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental best practices for fuel stations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional business or retail management training is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
