Furniture Carpenter (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

OfficeLand Ltd. is seeking a skilled Furniture Carpenter to join its on‑site team in Nigeria. The role involves constructing, repairing, and installing a variety of furniture and wooden fixtures according to client design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and design specifications.
• Select appropriate wood materials and hardware for each project.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and finish wood components.
• Perform quality checks and ensure finished products meet durability and aesthetic standards.
• Maintain and service woodworking tools and machinery.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with design and installation teams to achieve project timelines.

Required profile

• Proficiency in furniture construction, wood crafting and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, material handling and finishing methods.
• Vocational training or professional certification in carpentry.
• Prior experience in the furniture or woodworking industry is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Use of woodworking tools (saws, routers, planers, etc.).
• Operation of woodworking machines (CNC, band saw, drill press).
• Interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints.
• Furniture construction and assembly techniques.
• Wood repair and finishing techniques.
• Compliance with safety guidelines and equipment maintenance.
