About the role
Folta Express Cake is looking for a dedicated baker to join its café team in Marina, Ibadan. The role involves preparing fresh baked goods each morning to ensure the café opens with high‑quality products for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Measure ingredients, mix dough or batter, and operate ovens to produce muffins, cakes, bread and other items.
- Start work early to have fresh products ready for the opening shift.
- Conduct quality checks by tasting and inspecting finished goods to meet café standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including washing counters, tools and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels, record low items and assist with ordering supplies.
- Store food at appropriate temperatures in compliance with local health regulations.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of Higher National Diploma (HND).
- At least one year of experience in a similar baking or food‑production role.
Required skills
- Baking and food preparation.
- Operating ovens and other bakery equipment.
- Inventory tracking and basic stock ordering.
- Adherence to kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
