Front Desk Officer

About the role

The Front Desk Officer will be the first point of contact for guests at our hotel in Abuja. You will deliver professional, friendly service while managing daily front‑desk operations and supporting other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, handle check‑in and check‑out efficiently.
• Manage room reservations, cancellations, extensions and modifications.
• Provide accurate information on hotel facilities, rates and local attractions.
• Address guest complaints, requests and inquiries, escalating when necessary.
• Process payments, invoices and receipts with strict cash‑handling controls.
• Monitor room availability and coordinate with Housekeeping on room status.
• Maintain daily records of arrivals, departures, bookings and occupancy.
• Handle telephone, email and other guest communications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Security, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and other departments to resolve guest needs.
• Keep the front‑desk area clean, organized and presentable.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel records.
• Prepare shift reports, handover notes and manage lost‑and‑found items.

Required profile

• BSc degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar front‑desk or guest‑service role.
