Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to manage day‑to‑day finance operations, liquidity and treasury processes for Metro Group’s payment infrastructure across multiple markets. The role will provide the finance manager and leadership team with insights, modelling and governance as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily and weekly financial reports covering revenue, margins, liquidity and transaction volumes.
• Manage liquidity across multiple banks, wallets, currencies and payment corridors.
• Lead treasury operations including internal transfers, settlements and vendor payments.
• Build and maintain financial controls, workflows and treasury processes.
• Support budgeting, financial modelling, fundraising and investor reporting.
• Collaborate with Reconciliation, Compliance, Product and Engineering teams.
• Ensure audit‑ready documentation and regulatory financial compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in finance, treasury or fintech/payments operations.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ICAN, ACCA or CFA are a plus.
• Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
