Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting and financial activities for Euro FMCG Universal Beverages Ltd as we expand our manufacturing operations in Nigeria. The role will involve close collaboration with the Singapore head office and multiple internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements and other financial reports.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and variance analysis.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely tax returns and statutory filings.
• Work with HR on payroll processing, statutory deductions and payroll reconciliation.
• Manage vendor accounts, negotiate payment terms and reconcile invoices and expenses.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, and support import/export financial transactions.
• Ensure proper controls for cash management, inventory and compliance with Nigerian financial regulations.
• Provide financial analysis to support management decision‑making and coordinate reporting with the Singapore head office.

Required profile

• 7–15+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or trading.
• Successful completion of the entry‑level stage of ICAN or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations and statutory compliance.
• Experience in budgeting, auditing, taxation and vendor management.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of finance operations and communicate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
