Finance Officer

About the role

Makarios Consulting Services is hiring a Finance Officer in Lagos (Marina). The role covers day-to-day accounting and financial administration, including record keeping, payment processing, bank reconciliations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process payments, invoices, receipts and other financial transactions.
• Monitor income, expenditure and cash flow.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulations.
• Monitor departmental expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support payroll processing and expense reimbursements where required.

Required profile

• HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with ICAN certification.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting and general ledger management.

Required skills

• Financial reporting, account reconciliation, budgeting and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
