Finance Manager – Remote, $100k/year

About the role

You will lead global finance operations through a team of Senior Accountants while staying hands‑on enough to verify the quality of invoices, payments, reconciliations and allocations. The role blends management responsibility with deep technical involvement, using AI and automation to eliminate manual work and improve accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Keep finance operations moving through Senior Accountants, prioritising work by deadlines, business impact, dependencies and financial risk.
• Inspect finance dashboards and completed work to ensure bills, invoices, payments, bank transactions, reconciliations, control accounts, revenue and spend allocations are accurate and current.
• Diagnose quality failures, identify root causes (data, system configuration, accounting treatment or process execution) and write evidence‑based coaching to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and implement AI, LLM and automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and boost speed and accuracy.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting or Finance and a recognised professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience on at least five audits involving a Big 4 firm, either as auditor or client.
• Finance experience in an organisation with at least $100 M USD revenue.
• People‑management experience with direct responsibility for finance or accounting professionals.
• Hands‑on experience across AP, AR, bank and control‑account reconciliations, and revenue/spend allocation.
• Proven ability to prioritise and allocate operational finance work across a team while managing deadlines and blockers.
• Experience embedding AI or LLM tools into high‑volume finance transaction‑processing workflows with measurable efficiency gains.
• Ability to work US business hours.
