Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

A Financial Planning Specialist is sought to build and maintain detailed financial models, perform variance analysis and ensure data integrity across financial planning systems. The role also supports the team in analysing and developing reports for assigned projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models in Excel, update them with actual performance data and revised assumptions, and run sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling
• Gather and validate financial and operational data from departments such as Sales and Operations, and support project budgets and forecasts
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, create management presentations and generate standard and ad-hoc reports on time
• Compare actual performance against budget, investigate significant variances, document explanations and suggest corrective actions
• Take part in project review meetings, help develop business cases and evaluate project alternatives
• Maintain data integrity, keep records of analyses and reports, document processes and support process improvement
• Assist senior team members with complex analyses, contribute to best practices and share knowledge

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis or planning
• Pursuit of ACCA or CFA is an advantage
