Finance Manager

About the role

Harcadiax Systems Ltd is hiring a Finance Manager in Lagos (Marina) for a manufacturing and warehousing business. The role covers financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, internal controls and oversight of accounts payable and receivable, with a team of accounting staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and periodic financial reports.
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including production costs, raw materials, labour and overhead allocation.
• Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements and cost of goods sold.
• Develop and monitor budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial plans; conduct budget-versus-actual analysis and investigate variances.
• Maintain internal controls over financial transactions, inventory, procurement and expenditure.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger activities.
• Ensure timely tax computations, statutory filings and compliance with Nigerian financial regulations.
• Monitor production costs, profit margins, operating expenses and other key financial performance indicators.
• Coordinate financial audits and provide supporting documentation to internal and external auditors.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate recordkeeping and timely reporting.
• Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations for business planning and decision-making.

Required profile

• ICAN/ACA qualified Chartered Accountant.
• HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is mandatory.
• Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws, statutory compliance and financial reporting standards.
