Finance Manager

About the role

The Structure HQ is a corporate governance and operational excellence service provider across Africa, offering business advisory, company secretariat support, compliance management, nominee services and board success solutions. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Finance Manager in Lagos to oversee the financial health and sustainability of several of its entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage disbursements and cash flow across all entities, and monitor budgets, operational expenses and project costs against approved financial plans.
• Prepare and review periodic financial reports, management accounts, cash flow statements and performance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory obligations and financial policies, and keep accurate records and audit trails.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, external advisers and internal teams for timely reconciliations and resolution of financial issues.
• Identify process gaps, strengthen internal controls and drive automation of financial management systems, including Sage 200.
• Liaise with auditors and regulators, optimize tax and cost structures, develop financial policies and support senior leadership with financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; a professional certification such as ACCA, ACA or CFA is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in professional services, corporate governance or advisory environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, uphold high ethical standards and handle sensitive information confidentially.

Required skills

• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Sage 200.
