Finance Executive

About the role

The Finance Executive will lead the development and continuous improvement of financial policies, procedures and internal controls for the organization. This senior position reports directly to senior management and ensures accurate financial reporting, cash flow management and compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and refine financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Manage and monitor cash flow, including income, expenditures and investments.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Oversee invoicing processes and track client payments to ensure timely collection and reconciliation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records and documentation for all transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow reports.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Detect and investigate irregularities or discrepancies in financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, support tax planning and manage tax filings.
• Liaise with auditors and support internal and external audit exercises.
• Monitor economic and market changes that may affect financial planning and risk.
• Provide strategic input on cost‑saving initiatives and revenue‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ICAN) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting function.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Solid knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in invoicing and tracking client payments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Competitive salary range of N400,000 – N500,000 per month.
