About the role
The Accountant will monitor the overall financial performance and profitability of the business, ensuring accurate costing, pricing and financial control across projects, furniture orders and business units. The role works closely with Production, Store, Procurement, Sales and Project teams to support budgeting, financial planning and cost‑control strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Track and analyse material, labour, production and overhead costs.
- Calculate profitability of each project, furniture order and business unit.
- Prepare regular profitability, cost and cash‑flow reports for management.
- Monitor income, expenses, receivables, payables and cash position.
- Reconcile bank, cash, supplier, customer and inventory records.
- Monitor factory expenses, identify unnecessary costs and financial leakages.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, supporting documentation and statutory obligations (PAYE, VAT, WHT).
- Assist management with budgeting, financial planning and cost‑control strategies.
Required profile
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in a related field.
