Finance and Accounts Manager

About the role

FMR is recruiting a strategic and hands-on Finance and Accounts Manager for its client in the food manufacturing industry, based in Jakande Estate, Isolo, Lagos. The role takes full ownership of the finance function in a fast-growing environment, supporting business growth and expansion while strengthening financial systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting licensing requirements. The position is full time, onsite and Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements and cash flow reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, including licensing and expansion activities.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, policies and reporting processes.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and working capital.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team and drive process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• ICAN (ACA) or ACCA certification is required.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience leading the finance function in a growing organisation.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, taxation and regulatory compliance.
