Finance & Account Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & Account Lead to oversee the company’s finance and accounting operations. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and compliance with regulatory requirements while providing strategic financial insights to support business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting and finance operations, including posting, reconciliation, and maintenance of proper records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial reports.
• Coordinate audit processes and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor revenue, receivables, collections, payments and support cash‑flow planning and treasury activities.
• Ensure timely statutory remittances such as taxes and pensions.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and financial plans, and conduct variance analysis.
• Provide financial analysis and operational reporting to aid decision‑making.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives across finance operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent).
• 4‑6 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in the power sector.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, treasury, budgeting and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
