Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Freelance Field Support Specialist to deliver on‑site IT assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable or during dispatch activities. The role involves hands‑on technical work across desktops, laptops, printers, and AV equipment, providing high‑touch support to end‑users and VIPs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to company standards.
• Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix and compliance/security software.
• Coordinate repairs and replacements with OEMs and vendors.
• Maintain IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Perform system imaging for laptops and desktops.
• Set up and troubleshoot printers and network printers.
• Assist with conference‑room AV setup and meeting‑room technologies.
• Support Office 365 issues and general user account problems.
• Provide after‑hours coverage for events and recurring meetings as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware support and peripheral devices.
• Basic networking understanding (DHCP, DNS, LAN).
• Experience with printer and network printer configuration.
• Familiarity with Office 365 support.
• Good communication and ability to work independently.
• Experience in inventory management and vendor coordination.
