Field Support Officer

About the role

The Field Support Officer will be responsible for deploying and maintaining POS terminals for merchants across Abeokuta and surrounding areas. You will provide on‑site technical assistance, ensure devices operate smoothly, and support merchants in using electronic payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, install, and configure POS terminals at merchant locations.
• Provide on‑site technical support and resolve terminal issues.
• Conduct routine merchant visits to ensure optimal device performance.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network problems.
• Replace faulty terminals and manage terminal inventory.
• Train merchants on proper POS usage and transaction processes.
• Monitor transaction performance and escalate unresolved issues.
• Support merchant onboarding and documentation.
• Prepare daily/weekly field activity reports.
• Ensure compliance with company operational standards and policies.

Required profile

• Minimum OND/HND/B.Sc. in a relevant field.
• 1–2 years of experience in field operations, technical support, or POS support.
• Basic understanding of POS systems and electronic payment solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory.
• Willingness to work within Sango‑Ota and surrounding areas.
