Field Service Engineer – Gas Turbine Controls

About the role

The Field Service Engineer – Gas Turbine Controls will act as the site leader for technical and administrative representation, travelling to on‑shore and off‑shore locations in Nigeria. The role involves preventive and scheduled maintenance, call‑out services, and commissioning of new aero‑derivative gas turbine units.

Key responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance on gas turbine control systems and associated mechanical equipment.
• Lead installation, commissioning and start‑up activities for new turbine units, ensuring compliance with safety policies and work‑permit requirements.
• Provide daily project reports, manage parts requisitions, and keep equipment histories up to date to forecast utilization.
• Coordinate personnel and material scheduling to minimise downtime and support operations crews during peak workloads.
• Monitor major interventions, ensuring they are planned, executed on schedule and within commercial orders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with gas turbine control systems and related mechanical maintenance.
• Technical qualification in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Proven experience working in on‑shore/off‑shore environments.
• Ability to recognise abnormal vibrations, sounds and safety hazards and act promptly.
