Field Sales Specialist – Merchant Success Executive

About the role

BluuPay is looking for a motivated Field Sales Specialist to join its Merchant Success team in Nigeria. You will be the primary point of contact for merchants, guiding them from onboarding through active selling on the BluuPay platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and sign up new merchants onto the BluuPay platform.
• Guide merchants through the complete onboarding process.
• Ensure merchants fulfil all KYC/KYB requirements.
• Assist merchants in uploading products and setting up their online stores.
• Train merchants on effective use of BluuPay tools.
• Activate merchants so they begin accepting payments.
• Provide first‑line support and resolve basic merchant issues.
• Build strong relationships to drive long‑term merchant engagement.
• Achieve and exceed monthly merchant acquisition and activation targets.
• Represent BluuPay professionally and promote its products and services.
• Report regularly to management and be accountable to your line manager.
• Propose and implement creative improvements to the service process.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of sales experience, preferably in fintech, SaaS, payments or FMCG.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Comfortable with a field‑based role that involves daily visits to merchants.
• Tech‑savvy and able to train merchants on digital products.
• Experience with SME or merchant acquisition is a plus.
